Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition Coming To PS4, PC And Xbox One

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is finally getting a release on Xbox One. And a new re-release is coming to PS4 and PC.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is the version launched on Nintendo Switch in 2019, after the initial release on PS4 and PC in 2018 internationally.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition includes a few more features not seen in the initial release.

The features include the following:

  • New character side-stories
  • Retro 2D mode
  • 16-bit World Of Tickington
  • Japanses Audio
  • Fully orchestrated soundtrack
  • Photo mode

Unfortunately, this is considered a new game release and not an expansion/DLC. If you own the original Dragon Quest XI, you’ll need to make another full-priced purchase for this one. It’s like Persona 5 Royal again.

Still, if you haven’t played the quintessentially classic JRPG, this is the version to get. We reviewed the original Dragon Quest XI here.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition will be out on PS4, PC (Steam, Windows Store) and Xbox One on December 4. It will also be part of Xbox Game Pass for Console and For PC.
