Doom: The Dark Ages is out now for everyone. The single-player prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal takes the game series into a new direction with its shield-based gameplay, which evolves modern Doom’s push-forward combat loop.
The Dark Ages goes back in time to a medieval (yet still cyber and sci-fi) age where we see the Doom Slayer wage war against the forces of Hell and beyond in new worlds, including something truly cosmic (i.e. expect something that involved tentacles).
Plus, you can also pilot a mech and ride on a dragon in this entry.
Doom: The Dark Ages is available now on PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Battle.net) and Xbox Series X|S. Since Bethesda is under Microsoft, the game is also available as part of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions.
