Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins Out Now

There’s a new Doctor Who game out now where it’s a direct follow-up to the long-running sci-fi TV show published by narrative game specialists Maze Theory and developed by Kaigan Studio.

By who? Kaigan Studio, the fine folks behind Simulacra 1 and 2, based here in Malaysia.

Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins continues the events following the episode called Blink, which aired in Season Three of the show back in 2007.

It’s still a found-phone game, where you somehow found a phone in the streets of London which led to ex-UNIT scientist Petronella Osgood contacting you. So the game is still about navigating a phone interface. Puzzles are mixed in with live-action footage and some creepy, brooding mystery that you need to uncover.

Fans of the show (or those that love creepy found phone games) should give this one a look. Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is out now on iOS, Android and PC (Steam).
