Didn’t Dangerous Driving came out last year? It did. And now, indie developers Three Fields Entertainment has announced a sequel is in the works.
For those not in the know, Three Fields Entertainment is the new team formed by the co-founders of Criterion Games, the makers of Burnout and now developing Need For Speed again. Dangerous Driving is a spiritual successor to Burnout, or an alternate take of Burnout 3: Takedown without the production values offered by EA.
In this regard, Dangerous Driving 2 sounds like their take on Burnout Paradise (and Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012)). There will be an open world to explore. Other small details being revealed included split-screen multiplayer, and a release on Nintendo Switch.
Dangerous Driving 2 is expected to release in Holiday 2020 (yeah, that fast). It will be playable at PAX East for those attending there.
