Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 day-and-date of the console’s launch.
This edition of the game, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, includes the base game and the Phantom Liberty expansion.
Alongside that, it will also have Switch 2-specific features, including gyroscope aiming, menu navigation via motion controls and mouse control.
For those looking for physical copies of games, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is available physically in a 64GB game card, as well as digitally through Nintendo eShop. Additional languages are available, but requires a download.
Cyberpunk 2077 was infamously unplayable on 8th-generation consoles, the PS4 version was at one point delisted from sale. Since its rocky launch in 2020, the open world RPG based on world created by the tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020 has effectively recovered its reputation through game-changing updates throughout the years (and abandoning support for last-gen consoles).
To see the game now being a Switch 2 launch title is wild. Nintendo has had a reputation of producing low-powered consoles, but with titles like Cyberpunk and the many other third-party games made for the 9th-gen consoles is a show of force. And hopefully Cyberpunk 2077 makes a better impression to fans who only game on Nintendo systems.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will launch on the same day of the Nintendo Switch 2: June 5 in the US. Other regions like Southeast Asia will be getting the console a little later.
