As of right now, you cannot buy Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store.
Following the much-documented issues of the console versions running in terrible performance, CD Projekt Red issued an ‘apology’, promised patches to fix console performance to come next year, and tell players that they can seek refunds.
Problem is, Sony doesn’t have a robust refunding system- it’s a case-by-case only. So players of the PS4 version has facing issues on getting refunds. Xbox already has a refund system, like most platforms have had.
As such, Sony has delisted Cyberpunk 2077 until further notice- including on PS Store Asia- and has setup a page dedicated to requesting refunds (which is not yet live for Asia).
“SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction,” reads the announcement on this page here. “And we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store and want a refund.”
It’s quite unprecedented that a high-profile release was so buggy that Sony has to delist it. Hopefully this will see a more permanent solution for players to request refunds should similar situation appears in the future.
And don’t feel bad asking for your money back. CD Projekt already made profit on launch of Cyberpunk and knowingly hide console performance by showing very selected gameplay pre-release and not providing review copies for console versions pre-launch. And forcing its employees to crunch despite promising not to do so.
