Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.6 Now Live, Adds An Outfit System, New Content, More Fixes

Cyberpunk 2077 gets another shot of life with a new update, now live on all platforms.

Patch 1.6, cleverly marketed as the Edgerunners update (to tie in with the Netflix anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners releasing on September 13), brings in some new content, a transmog system of sorts, and a ton of fixes for the open world game.

The wardrobe is Cyberpunk 2077’s solution to a transmog system. Rather than changing each piece of clothing to a certain look- which can be tedious on its own- the wardrobe lets you store 6 different outfits using the clothing you own. Wearing an outfit only overrides the cosmetic looks- the armour stats all remain.

The update also adds 3 new gigs, Concrete Cage Trap, Desperate Measures, Nasty Hangover.

11 new weapons – one is a reward from one of the new gigs. 5 of them are melee weapons.

The update also adds some content related to Cyberpunk Edgerunners, though these will come as “secrets to be discovered in Night City, including new equipment and new Photo Mode features”.

The arcade machines now have a playable mini-game in the form of Roach Race. But also, there is a standalone release on iOS and Android for this mini-game that is a reference to The Witcher which is in Cyberpunk 2077.

Other than that, there are plenty of smaller additions and fixes which you can find in the full patch notes here. But here are some of the highlights worth mentioning:

  • Inverted camera axis will now also apply to Photo Mode
  • Added an option to modify V’s face and body at Ripperdoc clinics
  • Moved the Chef’s Knife to the Knife category
  • Added new poison perks – Corrosive Poison and Critical Antidote (Ninjutsu skill tree), replacing Hasten the Inevitable and Neurotoxin perks respectively
  • Added more secrets in Night City to be discovered by players. Due to some technical challenges, this change isn’t available on the previous generation of consoles
  • Added item preview so that it’s possible to see an item on V before you buy it
  • Added new hairstyles in Character Creation
  • [Xbox Series S] Added a new Performance Mode which can be enabled in Settings > Video > Graphics Mode. FPS is aiming at 60 in 900p with Dynamic Resolution Scaling (in 800p to 1080p range)
