Previously, CD Projekt Red promised two updates to Cyberpunk 2077 as they try to address the many issues, including the poor performance of its console versions. The January patch 1.1 arrived as expected.
However, the one slated for February won’t be arriving on time.
“While we dearly wanted to deliver Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 in the timespan we detailed previously, the recent cyber attack on the studio’s IT infrastructure and extensive scope of the update mean this unfortunately will not happen”, a tweet from the Cyberpunk 2077 account reads. “We’ll need some additional time.”
CD Projekt Red was hit by a cyberattack recently, with source codes for its games compromised. And this has impacted the development of post-launch updates for Cyberpunk 2077 as a result.
Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t live up to its potential- it’s an okay game, as per our review. But things are looking rough right now over there.
