Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion Gets One Final Trailer

Square Enix’s remaster (that’s more than just a remaster) of Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII will be out in two weeks time, and it has one final trailer to get fans to revisit this prequel to Final Fantasy VII.

The trailer shows most of the characters more than just our hero Zack. We get to see Angeal, Genesis and also minor characters like Tifa.

The trailer shows in-game cutscenes and gameplay at 60fps, which reflects the performance of the game on PS5, Xbox Series and high-end PCs.

Also, Square Enix revealed a few more details about Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion. There’s a new feature in combat in the form of stances. Once Zack acquires the Buster Sword, you can use AP to go into a Battle Stance.

In this mode, his attack becomes Strong Attacks- these attacks don’t cancel out if an enemy hits him mid-attack (there are invincibility frames in the attack animation).

It’s a callback, or rather to keep in line with, Final Fantasy VII Remake where Cloud, who wields the Buster Sword, has a similar-ish stance mechanic.

Speaking of callbacks, there will be mini-games including doing squats. There’s a sub-event where you can help build a flower wagon for Aerith as well.

Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be out on December 13 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
