Bandai Namco has dropped the release date for the post-game DLC for Code Vein II and it’s launching… next week, on September 9.
The Mark Of Idris expansion is specifically for players who have completed Code Vein II. This is post-game DLC with the requirements of having to reach a specific ending (“Luna Fraterna”) and a specific sub-mission (“Valentin’s Request”) before you can even access it. Not that soulslike action-RPG players of some other Bandai Namco-published titles are not familiar with this. This is par for the course.
There’s a new story recap trailer for Code Vein II if you need a refresher of what happened in the game released earlier this year. As the title and thumbnail implies, these are all spoilers, so you have been warned.
The Mark Of Idris expansion will see you travel to the Forsaken World, “a setting forged from the converged passions of worlds that vanished due to historical alterations.” And if you’ve played Code Vein II this far, you have committed your fair share of “historical alterations.” Expect to see Liv Voda and a very different Lou MagMell (is she prone to giving hugs just like the Lou we know?) as you enter the Forsaken World.
Even if you don’t plan to pick up the new DLC, Code Vein II will be getting a free title update, Free Version Update 2.0, alongside this new release. Bandai Namco hasn’t disclosed what’s coming with the free update yet, but the information will arrive soon before long.
This isn’t the only vampiric-themed released Bandai Namco has for the month of September. Today, they also just released The Blood Of Dawnwalker, the debut game from Rebel Wolves.
