Grounded has now left Early Access with a version 1.0 release today. This is the big co-op survival game by Obsidian about being little kids, literally.
Players are shrunk in a suburban background and now must explore, build and survive as they figure out what happened.
Also, plenty of big giant bugs. This is not a game for folks with entomophobia, but there is an arachnophobia safe mode as an accessibility setting which is cool.
Grounded has been in Early Access (or as Xbox calls it Game Preview) for two years, and has over 10 million players.
Version 1.0 adds the full story for you to discover, 44 creatures (including giant enemy spiders), 13 different biomes, new armour sets, new weapons, and a new Upper Yard area.
Grounded can be played solo or co-op with up to three friends.
Obsidian is mostly known for fantastic RPGs, like The Outer Worlds which a sequel is in development, but looks like the team can make survival games too.
Grounded is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). As a first-party title, the game is also available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
