City Builder Anno 1800 Is Having An Open Beta This Weekend

The long-running city builder series Anno is going back to the industrial era with Anno 1800. After the closed beta months ago, it is now letting everyone try out the game as an open beta, just days before its launch.

The Anno 1800 open beta will run this weekend, from April 12th-14th. The game release is on April 16th. The “open beta” is a “near-final” version of the game. Progression is capped at tier 3 but you can play the entire first act and also the Multiplayer mode.

For content creators, the beta does not have any NDA so feel free to create content, talk about it and share.

Pre-loads begin on April 10th, and the beta will be live on April 12th, 8AM Hong Kong Time (which is the same as Malaysian Time: +8 GMT). You can download the beta either on Uplay or Epic Games Store.

Anno 1800 will be out on April 16th, two days after the end of beta and only on PC. It will be a limited time exclusive to Epic Games Store, despite previously available for pre-orders on Steam.
