Cities: Skylines II Getting First Post-Launch DLC And Mod Tools

Cities: Skylines II, the sequel to the fantastic city-builder, didn’t have the best of launches, enough to delay a whole slew of post-launch DLC as developer Colossal Order had to address the game’s many issues. But now it looks like it’s time for the first of many paid DLCs to be added.

The first of which, the Beach Properties Asset Pack will go live on March 25 on PC. This pack adds over 60 new assets to liven up the seaside residential zones, and is included with your purchase of the Cities: Skylines II Waterfronts Expansion Pass or the Ultimate Edition.

Not only that, but on the same date, mod tools will be available. The Cities: Skylines II Modding Beta as it’s dubbed includes an in-game editor for players to make their own maps and code mods. You can’t create asset mods just yet- that will be be made available later this year alongside other options.

For this game, mod support will be available via the Paradox Mods platform.

Cities: Skylines II is out now on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), and available on PC Game Pass. It’s coming later to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
