Chronocracy Is A Whimsy 2D RTS Featuring Time Travel, Birds And Alien Invaders

Here’s a silly-looking game packed with features and gameplay you wouldn’t have expected. Chronocracy is a new game published by HeroCraft PC and developed by the 2-person-team at Regolite.

Debuted at The MIX Spring Showcase, Chronocracy is, get this, a real-time strategy survival game. But the world is flat—in the 2D sense as the flat world is still spherical in that the world loops back around like it’s a disk.

The whimsy presentation and the 2D screen gives Chronocracy an unexpected Patapon/Ratatan vibes to it, but it’s all coincidental. There’s no music-based or rhythm-based gameplay here.

Chronocracy is an RTS, but also more than just that. It also has a bit of city-building, a bit of resource extraction, even diplomacy alongside the expected combat gameplay.

Your civilization must face against the threat from various factions, including aggressive (not necessarily angry) birds as well as the alien invaders known as Eternals.

And the “chrono” in Chronocracy comes from time travel. You can use the power of time travel to change the fate of your civilization.

Chronocracy is coming to PC (Steam) but there’s no release window yet.
