Torn Banner Studio’s medieval melee brawler Chivalry 2 is launching next week on June 8. The devs and publisher Tripwire Presents have shared some details to prep you for the upcoming launch.
First, pre-loading will be available on consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S) on June 6, around 11 AM EDT (11 PM Malaysian Time, +8 GMT).
Pre-loads on PC via the Epic Games Store will only be available closer to release, 30 minutes before the global launch time.
The global launch time for Chivalry 2 on all platforms is June 8, 11 AM EDT (11 PM GMT +8). Game servers will be live at the same time as well.
Chivalry 2 is a massive first-person (or third-person) battler with up to 64-player matches. Think Battlefield, but with mostly melee combat inspired by fighting games. Players are fighting either for the blue and gold Agatha or the black and red Mason army.
There’s also a free-for-all deathmatch mode where you can just bash, block, parry and lop off someone’s limbs off without any worry of friendly fire.
Despite the very serious and gory gameplay, there’s a goofy side to the Chivarly 2. There are more dashes Monty Python than Game Of Thrones from what we’ve seen in the closed beta which ran last week.
Chivalry 2 will be out on June 8 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
