It’s time to get on a horse, raise your swords and fight for that guy we like: Chivalry 2 gets a new update today and is now available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
The new Reinforced update gives more love to the recently added horses in the last update. Previously released maps, specifically The Raid on Aberfell (Team Objective) and The Siege of Rudhelm (Team Objective) now allows you to mount on horses and engage in some horse combat.
Plus, there’s also a new map: Hippodrome (Team Deathmatch/Free-for-All). This map is designed to highlight horseback combat with many open spaces and also many hazards- spike traps and flamethrowers are lying around.
And also, there’s a new weapon: the Katars. This is a dual-wield weapon, the first in Chivalry 2, used for close-range combat for use of the Ambusher class. Ambushers can wreak havoc by getting behind enemy lines and slice them up.
Chivalry 2 also gets a new fancier edition, King’s Edition on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and coming to consoles in October. The new edition adds some exclusive cosmetic armour based on the original Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.
All maps and weapons remain free for everyone in Chivalry 2.
Chivalry 2 sees up to 64 players fighting brutally in medieval warfare. Played either from the first-person or third-person perspective, there is a deep but accessible melee combat system, brutal gore on display and, if you look around enough, some silly fun stuff that you can do like bringing a broom or a chicken to a sword fight. The Chivalry 2 Reinforced update is out now. Chivalry 2 is available now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game is also now available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
