Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 (no, not “IIII” as suggested by the logo, even the official marketing materials refer it to as “4”) had a multiplayer reveal event recently, showcasing the first look at the gameplay, and it’s certainly changing a lot.
Despite Black Ops III going the route of Advance Warfare featuring a lot of jetpacking and wallrunning, Black Ops 4- taking place before III and after II- will be a very grounded experience like last year’s title. “Boots on the ground” as they call it. Some other changes include no health regeneration (you’ll need to heal by pressing a button) and a fog of war on the minimap. Specialists, as appeared in the previous Black Ops, returns but with some tweaks to their abilities.

Developers Treyarch will also be forgoing a traditional campaign this time around. Instead, story will be delivered within the multiplayer experience, though it is still not clear how it will be implemented. Black Ops 4 instead will feature the recurring Zombies mode a new battle royale mode, Blackout, on launch.
Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 will be out on October 26th for the PS4, PC (exclusively on Battle.net this time) and Xbox One.
