Forza Horizon 4 has finally made it to Steam. Microsoft’s first-party games have lately made their way to the platform, but Playground Games’ excellent open-world racer was an exception for being only available on the Microsoft Store on PC since its 2018 release.
Today, it’s now available on Steam. Like other Microsoft games, it makes use of regional pricing and as such, the base game is priced for only RM95.
There is cross-play support, so players on Xbox or Windows 10 PC play with folks on Steam. However, there is no cross-save support. You cannot import your save from Xbox/Microsoft Store version to Steam, alongside other user-generated content (no import for liveries, layer groups, blueprints).
To celebrate the launch, the developers are handing out a free 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS to all players. Just log in to the game between today to March 14 to claim your free car.
Alongside the launch is the Series 33 update which adds two cars. One is the Raesr Tachyon, an aggressive-looking EV with 1250hp that can go 240mph (386 km/h), unlocked for completing 50% of the Winter season playlist. The other is the Peugeot 207 S2000 rally car unlocked for completing the Seasonal Championship “Forest Monster”.
