Developers Bungie is 30 years old. To celebrate the occasion, there’s now a new Destiny 2 free update and DLC celebrating the devs long past with new events, and returning weapons.
The 30th Anniversary Pack adds a three-player dungeon (Graps Of Avarice), returning weapons from Destiny 1 (Hero of Ages Sword, Matador 64 Shotgun, Eyasluna Hand Cannon, 1000-Yard Stare Sniper Rifle) and new armour pieces.
The armour pieces include 90s fashion, and also ornaments themed around Marathon, Bungie’s first FPS.
Also, the exotic rocket launcher, the Gjallarhorn is back.
Free-to-play players will also get new activities and rewards. The Dares Of Eternity is a six-player Matchmade Offensive activity that drops some new weapons inspired by a game that Bungie isn’t name-dropping, but we know what it is- Halo.
The BxR-55 Battler Legendary Pulse Rifle, Half-Truths Legendary Sword, Retraced Path Legendary Trace Rifle, Wastelander M5 Legendary Shotgun and Pardon our Dust Legendary Grenade Launcher will be available to earn for all players.
Plus, there’s also one exotic sidearm. The Forerunner Exotic Sidearm and its catalyst can be earned by all players.
The Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack will cost you RM79 on Steam. If you follow enough of Destiny 2, you probably already expect the prices you need paying for more content in this looter-shooter that continues to aspire to be a proper MMORPG.
