What if someone made Rimworld, but it’s wholesome? You might get something like Catizens, a colony management game by developer Bad Optics Games sand published by HeroCraft PC.
In Catizens, you’ll be helping out a colony of felines in building and growing their humble settlement. Cats have jobs they can be assigned, but more importantly, as highlighted in this new trailer debuted at DreamHack Beyond, cats in Catizens have personalities too.
Some cats are lazy so they’re less effective at work, or do not bother working at all. Scaredy cats make for a bad choice to be your knight in charge of halting the occasional goblin invasions. And mean cats don’t sit well together.
Catizens really seems to look like Rimworld but wholesome. Hopefully, cannibalism and creating cults are not part of the feature set in this game.
There’s a limited-time demo available on Steam until July 31 for you to try out.
Catizens does not have a firm release date yet, but it’s coming to PC via Steam later this year.
