Here’s for you JRPG fans, especially of the tactical variety. Publisher Happinet announced Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is coming to the Switch.
Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is developed by Matrix Software, more known for making various mobile ports for the numbered Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games.
They also have some veteran developers working on Brigandine- Kenji Terada (Final Fantasy I,II,III) as scenario writer, Raita Kazama (Puzzle & Dragons, Xenoblade Chronicles) as art director and character designer, and Tenpei Sato (Brigandine: Grand Edition, Disgea 1-5).
This is a revival of a long-dormant IP- the first Brigandine game was on PS1. Legend of Runersia is set in the same world, Renursia, where six countries are waging war to uniqy the lands. You get to pick which side you are on, and take control over 100 unique knight units, 50 types of monsters and explore over 40 base locations.
If you’re looking for some good old, dense-in-a-good-way, tactical JRPG, (or want something like Fire Emblem), Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is worth a look. It’s coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on June 25th, worldwide.
