Borderlands 4’s First DLC Vault Hunter C4SH Revealed

At Tokyo Game Show 2025, publisher 2K and developer Gearbox revealed the first of two DLC Vault Hunter (player character class) for Borderlands 4.

Named C4SH, he is former casino dealer bot turned drifter who’s on the lookout for cursed eldritch artifacts. Gameplay-wise, all his three Action Skills will be have some form of luck element to it, a game of chance if you will. He’ll favour the players who are willing to take on a more risk-reward kind of playstyle.

This isn’t the first Vault Hunter to have a number in their name (Borderlands 3 had FL4K, Borderlands 2 had Zer0 and, if you could believe it, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel had CL4P-TP—Claptrap). This is also not the first luck-based Vault Hunter in the Borderlands series, but Claptrap doesn’t have that Man With No Name aura mixed with horror vibes C4SH has got going.

C4SH will be available as part of Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie And The Fault Of The Damned. This story DLC will also include the new Vault Hunter. If you have the Vault Hunter Pack (included in the Super Deluxe Edition) or the Super Deluxe Edition, C4SH will be added once he becomes available with the new story pack, set to launch in Q1 2026.

Borderlands 4 has a post-launch roadmap, detailing what’s coming to the looter-shooter with a good mix of free and paid content. The paid content includes two new Vault Hunters and two story DLC.

Borderlands 4 is out now on PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S, but coming a little later at a currently unspecified date on Nintendo Switch 2.
