Borderlands 3’s Takedown At Maliwan Blacksite Will Be More Viable For Solo Players For A Limited Time

Borderlands 3 added what is essentially its raid equivalent – Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite. The area is designed strictly for a team of four players at level 50- this is endgame content after all.

While there are ways to actually complete it solo- there are very specific, over-powered and gimmicky builds that work- it’s generally not viable for solo play, or a squad less than 4 players.

For a limited time, this will change, however. From December 31st, 9AM PST (1AM, January 1st Malaysian Time, +8GMT) to January 16th, 8.59 AM PST (12.59AM, January 17th) Takedown will scale to your party size. This will arrive as a hotfix, so when you boot up Borderlands 3, wait a bit until the “Hotfix applied” sign appears.

This is especially great for solo players who wants to farm for new legendary gear that drops in Takedown but just doesn’t play with others. You will need to be at least level 50 to have a chance of making it the whole way through.

Borderlands 3 is a great game if you ask us. We’ve awarded it the Best Main Menu award for GM GOTY 2019 so far.
