Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games have announced a release date for Assetto Corsa Evo, the next game from the Assetto Corsa sim racing series. It will launch as an Early Access title.
Assetto Corsa Evo will be more like the original Assetto Corsa rather than Assetto Corsa Competizione in that it will have more than just race cars. Expect road cars, hypercars and even classic cars to be available.
Assetto Corsa Evo will be powered by Kunos’ new proprietary game engine designed specifically for sim racing.
Expect Assetto Corsa Evo to feature the following:
- 24-hour dynamic time
- dynamic weather and track conditions
- “cutting-edge lighting”
- photorealistic visuals
- vehicle simulation that “simulates mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic performance”
Also, here’s a new trailer, showing gameplay of Assetto Corsa Evo for the first time. From the Mini Cooper to the Ferrari Daytona SP3, from the “Rabbit” Mk I Golf to the latest generation of Volkswagen’s iconic hot hatch, and from quirky deep picks like the Morgan three-wheeler to the hot EVs of today like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the car list has range.
New screenshots also confirms the appearance of McLaren and Lotus alongside previously confirmed car manufactures such as Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Alpine.
“Here at Kunos, we believe in taking the time to get things just right, and that’s why the Early Access for Assetto Corsa Evo will officially begin on January 16, 2025,” said Marco Massarutto, Kunos Simulazioni co-founder and Executive Manager. “Our goal is to ensure the quality that all sim racing enthusiasts rightfully expect from a title like Assetto Corsa Evo.”
It won’t be long until we can get our hands on Assetto Corsa Evo. The game launches on PC (Steam) as an Early Access title on January 16, 2025.
