Assetto Corsa Competizione’s upcoming DLC, the Intercontinental GT Pack is out now. The DLC adds new tracks, covering the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge.
This will see the addition of four new tracks being added to the racing sim. Like the base game and reputable racing sim these days, the tracks are recreated using Laserscan technology, ensuring its as close to replicating the real-life layouts as possible. There are:
- Mount Panorama, Australia
- Suzuka Circuit, Japan
- WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, USA
- Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, South Africa
Kyalami is the most interesting of the pack. The former F1 grand prix circuit doesn’t get a lot of representation in racing games, so it’s cool to see that. That being said, the tricky uphill climb and downhill descent of Mount Panarama, the high-speed 130R corner and the rhythmic esses of Suzuka, and that cockscrew dive in Laguna Seca are all still great to see in Assetto Corsa Competizione.
The new cars are not new cars per se, since all the cars in this endurance racing series have already been added to the base game. The Intercontinental GT Challenge runs on the same regulations of the Blancpain GT Series. But the 30 teams and 50 drivers and 45 car liveries that competed in the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge, all of them new, have been added.
Of course, you can also run a full season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge with this DLC.
Alongside the DLC release is patch 1.3, which includes a lot of bug fixes. You can read through the patch notes here.
The Intercontinental GT Pack is out now for RM32 on PC via Steam. As of launch right now, it sits at 97% user review score on Steam, and is on the New And Trending tab of the platform across multiple regions, including Southeast Asia.
