Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s First Gameplay Trailer Shows Very Little Gameplay

Ubisoft promised the world that a gameplay trailer for the newly announced Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is coming, and it debuted on the recent Inside Xbox “gameplay” stream.

Unfortunately, it’s not what many have expected. Instead of the first showcase of actual gameplay running in-engine on a next-gen console, we got a trailer of 1 minute of 30 seconds that vaguely shows gameplay, because all the shots are cinematic- no representation of actual gameplay in the UI.

Have a look:

The dissappointment can be seen on the comments of the YouTube video, and with over 26K dislikes compared to 15K likes at the time of writing.

At least Ubisoft isn’t over-promising their next-gen game like what happened with the original Watch Dogs reveal, but this gameplay trailer really leaves a lot of people wanting more.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be out on PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store, Uplay), Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Stadia later this year. Valhalla will support Smart Delivery- only one purchase needed to own it on Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
