Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets a big showing at the recent Ubisoft Forward. The open-world RPG is now focusing on Vikings arriving to the shores of England in the dark ages.
Previous showings only show glimpses of gameplay despite promising more. Not counting leaks, this is the first proper showing of gameplay, with a rundown of all the many features new for the game.
Eivor gets access to many different viking weapons and enemies have some interesting moves, including tossing the body of a fallen ally to you. Social stealth is back, where Eivor can put the hood up and sneak in English cities and avoid the attention of guards. Sounds like an Assassin’s Creed from an era past, a welcome addition still. There is also settlement building and raids.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be out on November 17th for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store, Uplay), Xbox One and Stadia. It will also launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
