Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 Announced, Dota 2 and PUBG Malaysian Qualfiers Registration Now Open


The Asia Pacific Predator League is returning for 2020. The international tournament will see Dota 2 and PUBG teams from 17 regions battle it out to represent their country and then play at the main event. The Asia Pacific Predator League will be held at SM Mall Of Asia Arena, Passay City, Manilla, the Philippines on 22-23rd February next year.

The prize pool is $400,000 USD (around RM1,674,520), with RM100,000 from the pool is dedicated to the Malaysian qualifiers.

For Dota 2, there will be four offline qualifier events plus two online qualifiers. Qualified teams will be facing off in the Malaysian Grand Finals to be held during Level Up KL, KLCC on November 9-10th.

The four offline qualifier events for Dota 2 are:

  • Mineski Infinity, KL
  • Mineski Esport Arena, Selangor
  • Eternity Esport, Penang
  • Gizmo Arena, Sarawak

For PUBG, all four stages of qualifiers will be held online. The top four from each qualifier will go the Malaysian Grand Finals to be held at Battle Arena, Jaya Shopping Centre on December 7th-8th.

The dates for the qualifiers are:

  • November 23rd
  • November 24th
  • November 30th
  • December 1st

From the RM100,000 prize pool, RM50,000 will go to Dota 2 as cash and RM24,000 of cash goes to PUBG. The remaining RM26,000 are given out as prizes.
