While on the surface level it looks like another one of those digital trading card game, something like Hearthstone has been leading the charge, it has some pedigree. Richard Garfield, the creator of the original Magic: The Gathering, is involved with its creation. The twist of having three lanes of battle, like in Dota proper, also gives it a different feel.

Artifact will also not be free-to-play. Cards can be bought and sold in the Steam marketplace with a promise of future expansions, so it will have some elements of what you expect from traditional trading card game experience.

Artifact will be launching on November 28th, though Malaysia will get it on November 29th.
