Gaming monitor makers AOC have teamed up with Porsche Design for a new gaming monitor. The Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 is a 27-inch monitor with 1440p resolution and 240Hz refresh rate, with the sleek touch by Porsche Design.
Alongside the fast refresh rate, the monitor also and 1 ms GtG and 0.5 ms MPRT pixel response times- little system lag. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for tear-free frames. So this gaming monitor is delivering on performance for competitive players.
The Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 is also a curved monitor (1000R), certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400, has a wireless IR keypad to control monitor settings, and 5W stereo speakers. So it also has the creature comfort of a premium gaming monitor features. Immersion and competition-ready.
Ports-wise it includes 4 USB 3.2 ports, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, and 2 DisplayPort 1.4 ports.
It also has a very peculiar stand. A silver metallic stand like that is something you would only see done from designers outside of the game industry.
All this style and performance is going to cost you, of course. The Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 will be made available in select countries this month at the hefty price of EUR 799 (around RM3,800+).
Porsche has been dipping into the gaming market a lot as of late. Porsche Design also partnered with Acer recently for a new laptop, and Porsche has been supporting esports (with the recent Porsche Asia Pacific Cup for Forza Motorsport 7) and games (there’s a 1977 Porsche 911 in Cyberpunk 2077).
