Anime Retro-FPS Mullet Madjack Releases This May

Indie devs Hammer95 Studios and publisher Epopeia Games has announced that its upcoming first-person shooter game Mullet Madjack is releasing in May.

Mullet Madjack is heavily inspired by 80’s anime aesthetically and by retro-FPS (i.e. boomer shooters) of the 90’s with a roguelite twist.

In Mullet Madjack, you are a police officer with a rad mullet and is participating in a weird livestream show where you must kill and kill fast. The wild world of the cyberpunk 2090’s in Mullet Madjack isn’t all inspired by the trends of the old, you see. You have to please the crowd with your action prowess if you want to keep climbing to the top floor.

At launch, Mullet Madjack will include a Campaign mode as well as a Survival mode (i.e. endless mode).

Mullet Madjack is one of the game demos we recommended from the previous Steam Next Fest, for good reason. A striking visual look (the anime intro is complimented by sharp yet flat sprite-based characters) and an intense gameplay loop shows promise of a roguelite shooter that’ll keep you hooked on trying again and again.

Mullet Madjack launches on PC (Steam) on May 15. The demo is still available to try.
