Stellar Blade has a few side quests which require solving a puzzle. And it’s not the sort that you can brute force your way out of.
This short guide has the solution to the simple puzzle quest, as well as how the solution is derived for those curious.
Stellar Blade Simple Puzzle Solution
Go to the input device on one of the pillars in the room leading to the Presence Chamber elevator and input the following: 304272
How To Solve The Simple Puzzle
Here’s the problem as presented in the quest.
- 4@7@8 = 285684
- 9@3@5 = 271542
- 6@2@7 = 121426
- 5@6@7 = ?
This is a math puzzle that involves figuring out a specific pattern via arithmetic operations. That is, you either add, subtract, multiply or divide numbers until you see some sort of pattern.
The four digits has a clear pattern and it involves multiplying two of the three numbers in the sequence. For example, for 4@7@8, 4×7 = 28, and 7×8 = 56. This applies to the other sequences as well (9×3= 27, 3×5= 13) (6×2=12, 2×7=14)
4@7@8 | 28 56 84 | 4×7= 28 | 7×8= 56 |
9@3@5 | 27 15 42 | 9×3= 27 | 3×5= 13 |
6@2@7 | 12 14 26 | 6×2= 12 | 2×7= 14 |
5@6@7 | ? | 5×6= 30 | 6×7= 42 |
As such, for 5@6@7, the first four digits comes from 5×6=30, and 6×7=42.
The last two digits seem tricky to guess at first, but once you figured out this far, a pattern can be found. Try adding the first two digits to the third and fourth digits in the sequence. 28+56= 84. 27+15=42. 12+14 = 26.
Thus, the final two digits in the solution comes from 30+42=72.
4@7@8 | 28 56 84 | 4×7= 28 | 7×8= 56 | 28+56= 84 |
9@3@5 | 27 15 42 | 9×3= 27 | 3×5= 13 | 27+15=42 |
6@2@7 | 12 14 26 | 6×2= 12 | 2×7= 14 | 12+14 = 26 |
5@6@7 | 20 42 72 | 5×6= 30 | 6×7= 42 | 30+42=72 |
