April 26th is Alien Day. As in, the Alien franchise, started with the 1979 Ridley Scott movie. The date is a nod to LV-426, the designation of the moon where the horrifying alien was first discovered.
It looks like the celebration is now extending to video games, as two recent games based on the Alien IP is either free or dirt cheap, for a limited time.
Alien: Isolation, the 2014 horror game by Creative Assembly, is only RM3.75 on Steam. Yes, three ringgit. And if you want to pick up the extra DLCs, each of them are under RM5, with the full collection is discounted to only RM26.25. A good deal, if you like horror in the veins of Anmesia where it’s about running away more than direct combat.
The other game is Alien: Blackout, the premium mobile game. For a limited-time, the game is free to keep on iOS and Android.
If you’ve been thinking about getting either games recently, now’s the best time to grab them.
