Acer Refreshes The Predator Triton 500 And Nitro 5 Gaming Laptops With 10th-Gen Intel Core CPUs For 2020

Gaming laptop refresh season! Acer has revealed the 2020 refresh for the Acer Nitro 5 and the Acer Predator Triton 500 gaming laptops. Both are getting the new 10th-gen Intel Core CPU, and new options for an Nvidia GPU.

The Predator Triton 500 is Acer’s sensible slim gaming laptop (we reviewed an early 2019 spec of it here). Now it’s powered by a 10th-gen Intel Core, a choice of Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super with Max-Q Design or RTX 2080 Super, and a 300Hz refresh rate monitor with G-Sync.

As for the 2020 Acer Nitro 5, it’s now getting beefier. Other than a choice of an Nvidia GTX 1650Ti (this is new) or 1650 GPUs, you can also get one with an RTX 2060. There will also be variants with a 120Hz and a 144Hz refresh rate monitor. Acer is still placing the Nitro series as their budget-friendly gaming line, despite the significant upgrades being added here.

No proper spec sheet yet, which expected as different regions will be getting different specs anyway. But still, expect to see the 2020 Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5 by May around the world.
