Acer Predator Helios 300 Gets A Minor 2021 Refresh, Now With Nvidia RTX 3080

The solid mid-to-high range gaming laptop in Acer’s Predator range gets a minor spec refresh for 2021. The Predator Helios 300 will now be powered by Nvidia’s new (for laptops) RTX 3080 graphics card.

Alongside that, the Helios 300 (like last year) will have a 240Hz display (for esports/competitive games) with a 3ms response. But new for the 2021 refresh is DTS:X Ultra, for surround sound audio.

Other than that, don’t expect too much. Which also means that if you own a Helios 300 already, your laptop hasn’t been dated as much just yet. But for those currently looking for a new gaming laptop, or their current one has reached the end of its life cycle, this may be worth a look.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 (2021) is expected to release in February the earliest in North America, EMEA and China. Pricing starts at $1,249.99 USD (around RM 5,016), but stay tuned for local price and availability in Malaysia.
