Sega announced that the award-winning RPG by Studio Zero, Metaphor: ReFantazio, is getting a permanent price cut in Southeast Asia.
The price cut takes effect on the digital versions of the game, for PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox platforms. This will take effect on November 12.
If you plan to start your fantastical campaign in an electoral race in this game by many of the talents behind the Persona series, we recommend to wait a week before doing so, when the price drop kicks in that coincides the launch of the Switch 2 version.

For those unfamiliar with Metaphor: ReFantazio, Sega has prepared a two-minute primer of what the game’s about, narrated by Misato Fukuen, the Japanese voice of the character Eupha.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is Gamer Matters’ GOTY for 2024. It’s not quite a Persona game, but its twists on the Persona formula of dungeon-crawling, limited actions due to the passing of time, and turn-based combat makes it one of the finest fantasy journeys one can take. The story is naturally a politically charged one, albeit not as leaning to one side or the other political spectrum as much, but should be enough to spark a person’s interest to reflect and explore the ramifications of political decisions in a fantasy world that’s not too far off from our reality. Metaphor: ReFantazio is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be available on Switch 2 on November 12. A demo is available.
