Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update Part 1 (October 2026 Update) Adds New Track, Six Cars, New Features And More

The first half of a two-parter free content update for Gran Turismo 7 has been revealed. The Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update Part 1 as it’s officially dubbed, or Update 1.72 for those keeping track of version numbers, or the October 2026 update as we also going to refer to it for SEO reasons, will see a new track, six new cars and a good number of new features being added to the racing game.

The trailer was first revealed in front of the audience at GT World Series Singapore, drawing cheers from the crowd.

We already know the track in the initial reveal, and it’s the one that will make you go shout “sugoi!” Sportsland Sugo Circuit joins the growing list of tracks in Gran Turismo 7, another famous track in Japan featuring some good undulation.

But what’s more interesting is the list of cars. The 12 cars coming with Spec IV were partially revealed, but now we get to see six of them in full, including some nice surprises.

The Xiaomi VGT and a new version of the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 were mentioned to be coming in the past. The old Honda Civic and Honda Step WGN were teased previously in the Spec IV reveal. The Ferrari F355 however is a nice surprise, another generation of the mid-engine car from the Prancing Horse that was missing. Between this and the third-generation Civic in this update, more cars within a lineage of car brands are getting added in, which is nice to see.

For fans of quirky French cars, well, French cars in general as they all can be lovably quirky, there’s a 2 CV being added because this is Gran Turismo after all, there’s going to be quirky cars (to the chagrin of their more motorsport-centric and competitive fans that are dying to get more new race cars).

GT7 did not have a content update in September 2026, the last one was in August, so for all intents and purposes we still getting the usual 3-cars-per-month content drop, but this time rolled with some bigger features including a whole new track.
