The Acer Nitro line of gaming laptops gets the usual yearly refresh, though for 2026 it’s rather a subdued one.
The Acer Nitro V 16 AI (ANV16-I51) and Acer Nitro V 16S AI (ANV16S-I51) now adopt the two-letter acronym in their names for 2026, boasting the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 535 processor, a bump in GPU choice with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU (the ones released in Malaysia was capped to an RTX 5060 at most) and not much else, specs-wise.
The 2026 Nitro V 16 AI and Nitro V 16S AI now come with a FHD IR webcam with a camera shutter, which is the only way you can tell the difference between the 2026 Nitro V 16 and 2025 Nitro V 16 by looking at the chassis. They also have DTS:X Ultra audio software. And a MUX Switch. And 4-zone RGB keyboard. And a 1920×1200 16-inch screen with 180Hz refresh rate. With the ability to have up to 32GB RAM and 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD.

So what’s the difference between a 2026 Nitro V 16 AI and a 2026 Nitro V 16S AI? Apparently it’s the dimensions, weight and one killer feature. The Nitro V 16S AI is slight thinner at 17.9mm thick, but also 0.2kg heavier weighing at 2.3kg, and it has Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E.
No pricing details have been given for the 2026 Acer Nitro V 16 AI and Acer Nitro V 16S AI, but these, with Intel chips inside, will launch the soonest in Q2 2026. Expect these, and the expected variants featuring AMD CPUs, to get released later this year in Malaysia.
