Newcomer FrostFire Headlines The Winners Of The Taiwan Esports Cup

After 7 months, 283 registered teams and an estimated 1,415 players, the Taiwan Excellence Esports Cup has ended with three winners for their main stage games.

The event that took place at Berjaya Time Square saw a new winner in the CSGO category in the form of FrostFire, a team which established April last year, beating out the likes of veterans Orange Esports and Geek Fam.

Other winners include Flower Gaming for Dota 2, beating out Dota Hero and winner of the best name for a group ever, “Never Win Before”, and for League of Legends, Pepega takes the top honors.

For FrostFire, they will be heading to Taiwan to compete in a Friendly Match between Taiwan, Thailand and Philipine’s best CSGO team for a 2,000 USD Bonus.

Also present during the weekend event was the side tournaments of PES 2020, Smash Bros Ultimate, Mobile Legends and Tekken 7, all of which have netted the winners cash prizes as well.
