Vita-Exclusive Beat-‘Em-Up Uppers Gets An English Release For PS4 And PC

Beat them up! Girls are watching!

Not many may have heard of Uppers. It was released in 2016 as a PS Vita exclusive and was only available in Japan. You beat up up troublemakers on Last Resort island while girls are watching. It’s a 3D brawler with awesome combos to pull off where you control as a team of two, with each character tagging in and out after specific combos. There are also environmental interactions, throwing objects like bikes to the enemies.

Oh and girls are not just watching, they will also grant you buffs should you appease them by doing specific challenges they issue. Think Yakuza-style fighting, but plenty of fanservice. Plenty.

Marvellous, the original publisher and developer, are bringing the game westward (or rather, in English and other languages), with a PS4 and PC release. This release will be running at 1080p at 60fps.

Uppers will be out later this year for the PS4 and PC via Steam.
