Upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man Update Will Allow Save Transfers From PS4 To PS5 Remaster

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for the PS5 does not the option to carry over progress from the PS4 original when first announced. But not anymore.

Developers Insomniac Games have announced that an upcoming update will rectify this issue, as confirmed on Twitter.

The update will arrive around Thanksgiving (US’ Thanksgiving is on the 26 November), so expect it to arrive later this month.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will have its own trophy list, so whether or not a save import from the PS4 will automatically unlock the same trophies on the PS5 remaster is not yet made clear.

Save transfers moving from PS4 to PS5 is on a per-game basis, unlike on Xbox which just carries over saves from Xbox One to Xbox Series seamlessly.

That said, this good news for folks who dipped in the 2018 open-world superhero title but wants to properly finish it with the new PS5 remaster.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is only available as part of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, which is only available on PS5. It will arrive on the first PS5 launch date: November 12.
