Two New Metroid Games has Been Announced!

10 Years after Metroid Prime 3 came out for the Nintendo Wii and a year after the lackluster Metroid Prime Federation Force, Nintendo has officially announced not one but two upcoming titles for this series. Metroid Prime 4 for the Nintendo Switch and Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS!

Metroid Prime 4 came out of nowhere during Nintendo’s E3 Spotlight showcasing a trailer with a logo.. and that’s it, nothing else is known so far, so check back when we receive more info for this highly anticipated title.

Next up is Metriod: Samus Returns for the 3DS. Developed by MercurySteam (the guys who did the last Castlevania game), the game is an action-packed, side-scrolling shooter which has been remade to include engaging and immersive 3D visuals and a rich, atmospheric color palette.

So they have made a game that has takes inspiration from the old Metroid games, an interesting and welcoming addition many Metroid fans would love. The 3DS game will come out on September 15.

Let’s hope both games can live up to the fans expectation.
