Thunderobot Gaming Laptops Now Launched In Malaysia

A new gaming laptop manufacturer has just entered the Malaysian market. Thunderobot has just announced that a slew of their gaming laptops will be distributed by ECS Astar Sdn. Bhd. to select resellers around the country. The products is also available online via Lazada.

Thunderobot is a rather new name here, but the brand has been established in 2014. The brand is owned by Haier Group, yes the company behind consumer electronics such as washing machines and refrigerators. But don’t scoff at it just yet. Thunderobot has established themselves in China, with investments in esports teams and streaming platforms over there. They have a presence in several markets in Europe as well.

The gaming laptops range from entry-level gaming with the 911 SE to its main flagship model, the Dino. Here are the specs:

Thunderobot Dino

Thunderobot ST Plus

  • CPU: Intel  i7-7700HQ
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX1050Ti 4GB
  • RAM: 1 * 8GB DDR4
  • Storage: 1TB + M.2 128GB SSD

Thunderobot 911 SE

The specs for all four new Thunderobot laptops are as follows:

The 911 SE, the cheapest of the four will retails starting at RM4,499, the ST Plus starts at RM4,899, The 911 GT starts at RM7,099 and the Dino goes to at RM8,899.

At the launch event, we saw the Dino running The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt at Ultra settings without a hitch. The other laptops were running Dota 2 and PUBG, which also managed to reach 60fps with respectable graphical settings.

Thunderobot has an assortment of gaming accessories such as mice, mechanical keyboards, headsets and backpacks, which will all be available in due time here in Malaysia.
