Hotshot Racing is exactly what you may be looking for pure, arcade racing. It’s low-poly, texture-less art style and no-frills racing with drifts, drafts and boosts sounds like a promising mix.
Publisher Curve Digital has announced that Hotshot Racing, developed by Lucky Mountain Games and Sumo Nottingham, will be out this September. Pre-orders are now available today on Steam, with other platforms to follow.
Also, the game will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass for Console on launch. So if you’re already a subscriber, you’ll get to play the game immediately at launch.
Hotshot Racing includes your usual Time Trial and Grand Prix modes for purists. There’s also “Cops and Robbers” and “Drive Or Explode” modes which sounds exactly as the name imply. The game runs at lock 60fps for single-player, and outside of Time Trial, all modes can be played with four-player split-screen and up to eight players online.
There will be 16 circuits and eight avatars- the “hotshots” to play as.
Hotshot Racing launches on September 10 for the PS4, PC (Steam), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and will available on Xbox Game Pass for Console on launch
