THQ Nordic And Koch Media Have Swapped Some IPs Between Them

THQ Nordic and Koch Media (Deep Silver) are part of the larger THQ Nordic, now Embracer Group, the parent company. And between them, they have way too many IPs- some long-forgotten, others waiting their turn for a resurrection. And now the companies are… swapping some of their IPs between themselves.

THQ Nordic now handles the IP for Risen, Sacred, Rush For Berlin, Second Sight and… Singles: Flirt Up Your Life.

THQ Nordic now houses all of Pirahna Bytes games with Risen, but splits up Second Sight and TimeSplitters – original IPs of Free Radical Design, which now live on as Dambuster Studios, under Deep Silver.

Meanwhile, Koch Media gets two IPs from THQ Nordic: Red Faction and Painkiller. Koch Media, under the Deep Silver name, has been publishing the Saints Row series developed by Volition. So having Red Faction- where all games were made by Volition- makes sense.

THQ Nordic- or rather Embracer Group now- are known to be buying long-dormant IPs, like Kingdoms Of Amalur. Now they are swapping it around among their subdivisions. Quite the flex.

On THQ Nordic’s side, all the new IPs will now be evaluated whether remasters, ports, sequels or new content can be worked on.
