The Last of Us Part 2 Gets Delayed To May Next Year

It’s official.

Naughty Dog VP and Game Director, Neil Druckmann has confirmed that their next highly anticipated title, The Last of Us Part 2, is delayed until 29 May of next year, three months after their initial release date of February.

Naughty Dog states that they have chosen to delay the game to make the experience more polished whilst avoiding the dreaded “crunch time” issue. A good call, in my books.

Plus, launching a week before the other anticipated title, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, could harm their own sale. So I see why the need for the delay.

The game will launch exclusively for PS4 on May 29.
