The Golf Club 2019 Will Have PGA Tour License

The Golf Club is one of the now-rare simulation golf games out there. Especially so since EA’s PGA Tour titles have gone dormant since 2015. Developers HB Studios has now announced that their latest major release for the series, The Golf Club 2019, will now have the PGA Tour license.

The license deal will add six Tournament Players’ Club (TPC) courses owned by the PGA Tour: Summerlin, Scottsdale, Sawgrass, Southwind, Deere Run, and Boston. More courses will be coming as well. Not only that, but The Golf Club 2019 will also feature a full PGA Tour career mode, complete with tournaments as they appear in the real-life PGA Tour.

No real-life pros are expected to be appear just yet. Players of The Golf Club games are used to make their own in-game avatars, featuring loads of customisation options.

This is the first time the online-oriented golf game to feature real license, so it goes to show how the series has evolved over time- starting from 2014- to be able to carry the PGA Tour name. For those looking for a decent golf game, now’s the time to check out The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour, coming in August 2018 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
