The Blood Of Dawnwalker Releases This September

Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves have locked in a release date for The Blood Of Dawnwalker. It’s coming out this September.

Revealed during a special livestreamed presentation, The Blood Of Dawnwalker also presented a new story trailer, more than 10 minutes of new gameplay, PC specs requirements, and more behind-the-scenes and development stories for this dark fantasy open world action RPG where you play as a vampire.

There are certainly a good number of Polish folks that appeared throughout the presentation. Rebel Wolves are based in Poland, with industry veterans that worked on The Witcher series among their numbers, and they even have former UFC champion Jan Błachowicz performing motion capture performances for the character Bakir.

Set in 14th century Europe, during the medieval times, war and plague have rendered the world in chaos. And there’s also vampires. Players take on the role of Coen, a Dawnwalker. That means he’s no longer human but not quite transitioned into a vampire. Now he must save his family from a vampire lord that rules Vale Sangora, a fictional land found within not-fictional region of the Carpathian Mountains.

One interesting hook of The Blood Of Dawnwalker is how choice matters. While having consequences to your actions alone isn’t new, The Blood Of Dawnwalker employs a time schedule, where time progression changes what’s available in the world, and your actions will lock you out of other actions as some of them progresses time forward. Not as pressure-inducing as Dead Rising, however.

The Blood Of Dawnwalker releases on September 3 for the PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S.
