Square Enix announced that a new demo for the upcoming RPG The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millenium Tales, available on all platforms.
Unlike the Debut Demo, which was made available for a limited-time to gather player feedback, this Prologue demo includes the ability to transfer progress to the main game releasing later this June. Changes based on feedback from the Debut Demo can be experienced here as well. Elliot’s base movement speed is faster, there’s a new difficulty mode and other quality-of-life changes that has been incorporated into the game.
In The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millenium Tales, players follow the duo of Elliot and Faie in a journey across four ages. With seven different weapon types Elliot can use, and the various Magic abilities Faie can make use, the duo takes on the latest adventure developed by Team Asano, the team behind the Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler series.
Unlike those games, however, The Adventures Of Elliot is an action-RPG, with real-time combat. This is more of Zelda-like adventure rather than a Final Fantasy one. But it does make use of the HD-2D aesthetic—2D character sprites with 3D-rendered environments—now with more usage of the highly detailed character portrait drawings.

The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millenium Tales will be out on June 18 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. In Asia, the PC (Steam) version comes out a day later, on June 19.
Physical editions of The Adventures OF Elliot: The Millenium Tales will also be available in Southeast Asia for PS5 and Switch 2, distributed by Bandai Namco. Pre-orders are now live.
