The Acer Predator Triton 700 Laptop Is Now Available In Malaysia, Starts At RM9,999
Fancy a new, thin and powerful gaming laptop? It comes at a high price for such luxuries, but Acer Malaysia has brought in the laptop just for you. The Predator Triton 700 is now available country-wide.
The Triton is only 14.mm thin but it packs a wallop. Featuring a 7th-gen Intel i7 CPU, an Nvidia 1080 GTX (with Max-Q design), 32GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage space. The 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display also has G-Sync and supports 120Hz of refresh rate.
Cooling the Triton is Acer’s proprietary Aeroblade 3D fan, which you can peek through the top Gorilla Glass housing, which also doubles as a touchpad, interestingly enough.
It’s quite a looker, and having it be pretty thin makes it comparable to ASUS’ ROG Zephyrous gaming laptop launched in Malaysia a few months back.
It’s certainly a marvel of engineering- the Triton 700 traces its lineage to the Predator 21X, albeit a more modest (and affordable) version of it. Our first impressions are a bit mix, however.
Having this much power in a laptop form-factor is awesome, but dealing with the odd keyboard layout and having the touchpad being a piece of glass will need some getting used to. The mechanical keyboards are great though and so are all the neat features packed inside this thin package.
Plus, it has a cheaper variant. That’s always cool to see, because this piece of machine deserves more worthy buyers.
The Triton 700 is now available in Malaysia in two variations. The top range, featuring the mentioned specs will retail at RM12,999 whilst the RM9,999 price is for the less beefy variant, featuring a 1060 GTX, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD.
The variant with the 1080 GTX may be expensive, but Acer Malaysia is throwing in a bunch of goodies along with it: a “special edition” TTe-Sports GT Fit Predator gaming chair worth RM1399, a Predator Gaming Mouse (RM499) and a Predator Gaming T-shirt (RM99).
